چکیده

ISGRI, the IBIS low energy camera (15 keV 1 MeV) on board INTEGRAL, is the first large CdTe gamma-ray imager in orbit. We present here an overview of the ISGRI in-flight calibrations performed during the first months after launch. We discuss the stability of the camera as well as the CdTe pixels response under cosmic radiation. The energy calibrations were done using lead and tungsten fluorescence lines and the 22Na calibration unit. Thermal effects and charge correction algorithm are discussed, and the resulting energy resolution is presented. The ISGRI background spatial and spectral non-uniformity is also described, and some image correction results are presented.

ISGRI: the INTEGRAL Soft Gamma-Ray Imager

For the first time in the history of high energy astronomy, a large CdTe gamma-ray camera is operating in space. ISGRI is the low-energy camera of the IBIS telescope on board the INTEGRAL satellite. This paper details its design and its in-flight behavior and performances. Having a sensitive area of 2621 cm with a spatial resolution of 4.6 mm, a low threshold around 12 keV and an energy resolut...

Design, Construction and Calibration of a Laser Ionization Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer

A time-of-flight mass spectrometer (TOF-MS) developed in our laboratory at Isfahan University of Technology is described here. The TOF-MS instrument uses laser as the ionization source which provides an opportunity to investigate the ions formed in laser ablation or desorption. The TOF-MS has an ionization chamber containing an accelerator and an ion lens to focus the ions into a one meter line...

Depth Data Calibration and Enhancement of Time-of-flight Video-plus-Depth Camera

In this paper, we present a method to calibrate and enhance depth information captured by an infrared (IR)-based time-of-flight video-plus-depth camera called “Kinect camera”. For depth data calibration, we use color and IR images of a chessboard with on-off halogen light sources to calculate camera parameters of the video and IR sensors in the Kinect camera. For depth data enhancement, we intr...

On Calibration of a Low-Cost Time-of-Flight Camera

Time-of-flight (ToF) cameras are becoming more and more popular in computer vision. In many applications 3D information delivered by a ToF camera is used, and it is very important to know the camera’s extrinsic and intrinsic parameters, as well as precise depth information. A straightforward algorithm to calibrate a ToF camera is to use a standard color camera calibration procedure [12], on the...

Calibration of Depth Camera Arrays

Depth cameras are increasingly used for tasks such as 3-D reconstruction, user pose estimation, and humancomputer interaction. Depth-camera systems comprising multiple depth sensors require careful calibration. In addition to conventional 2-D camera calibration, depth correction for each individual device is necessary. In this paper, we present a new way of solving the multi depth-camera calibr...
